Karachi: Former England captain Nasser Hussain and Ian Bishop have praised Babar Azam after he played a classy knock, driving Karachi Kings to the first-ever Pakistan Super League (PSL) title win over Lahore Qalandars.

The 26-year-old Babar Azam remained unbeaten at 63 off 49 balls, powered by seven fours on a difficult track.

Not just Nasser and Bishop, cricket pundits, fans also praised Pakistan’s captain, who finished as the leading run-getter of the competition. In 11 innings, he accumulated 473 runs at an average of 59.12.

“I see Babar Azam batting on a different pitch to everyone else… Class!”

Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra was left in awe of Babar’s drives against Shaheen Shah Afridi in the first over of the chase.

South Africa’s Colin Ingram thinks that Babar is now getting all the recognition he deserves.
