KARACHI: Defending champions Karachi Kings have picked Martin Guptill in the platinum category of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6’s replacement draft. 

Lahore Qalandars lifted Bangladesh’s Shakib-al-Hasan in the Platinum category whereas Quetta Gladiators went for Andre Russell who showed availability for few matches. Usman Khawaja will be playing PSL for the first as he has been picked up by Islamabad United whereas Mahmudullah will represent Multan Sultans.

Kings have completed their replacement picks by opting for Guptill in Platinum, Najeebullah Zadran, and Thisara Perera in Diamond and Liton Das in Silver.

PSL 6 is all set to resume from June 1 and the final is scheduled on June 20. The whole event will take place in Karachi where a local hotel will be booked for players, supporting staff, and officials to live in a bio-secure bubble, put in place by a UK-based company.
