Nottingham: The 22-year-old Azam Khan will make his international debut today in the first T20I against England at Trent Bridge.
Middle-order batter and son of former captain Moin Khan will become 93rd individual to play for Green Shirts in this format. “It’s a very unreal feeling,” said Azam in a video released by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“My father served Pakistan cricket for 15 years and I will try to continue his legacy,” he added.
It must be noted that Azam is known for his hard-hitting abilities and has a strike rate of 153.37 in T20s.
